| 22 Reed Express and others
I have followed the 22 Reed Express for a few years, very interesting wildcat and nice combination with the CZ-52. My photo shows a 223 IMI Urban cartridge designed for use in modified Mini and Micro UZI weapons. Case is 223 reduced to 22.95mm length with a 46 gr bullet at 1902 fps. Second cartridge is the Soviet 5.45x18mm cartridge for the PSM pistol. |

Both impressive ! Admittedly I'm only guessing, but I would imagine one could generate velocities very near 1900 fps with 60 gr. bullets in the stock CZ52. Don't know about stabalizing or accuracy, but velocity has never been in shortage with the CZ.

| more 22 cal pistol wildcats
The Reed Express also was developed in 25 cal if I remember ? Enclosed photo shows left to right: 5.45x18mm, 223 Urban, and three 22 cal wildcats made from 30 carbine and 223 as parent cartridges. Many years ago there was a 22/30 Luger for the Luger pistol, just necking down the 7.65mm (30 Luger) to 22 cal |

These are fantastic little zingers considering the limitations of magazine dimensions. (Great pic by the way). The PPC (Perris/Pendal) cartridges did this in some very efficient rifle cartridges. Then ALL the 'short magnums' took off. I would reccommend Carmichaels 'Book of The Rifle' to anyone who wants good, tested results obtained in a laboratory atmosphere where case dimension proved to be relevant to the overall efficiency of ignition, burn rate, gas expansion and velocity. Sometimes a restriction in one area (magazine length) will lead to a bonus in another area from further testing and development. |

| 6.5x25 CQB
I think that I was wrong about a 25 Reed Express, it was a 7.62x25mm necked down to 6.5mm in Sweden called the 6.5x25 CQB, kind of a newer cartridge designed to replace 9x19mm

I'm savin' up for a chronograph. I hope to be able to post some actual velocities for loads I'm loading soon. I'm getting good results, but I'm not sure on any velocities. |

| Check the 224 BOZ cartridge
The 224 BOZ is the 10mm auto necked down to use the 5.56mm bullets.

A little something I'm working on right now with limited R & D info to give, about all I can say right now is it will destroy a milk jug at 25 yds. Further R & D and accuracy testing to come later.
