I feel your pain. I have a NZ-marked 1942 Long Branch No.4 Mk.1* that is essentially pristine and a very, very good condition, all-matching, non-refurbished Russian 1946 M44 that have not been taken to the range yet.

OK, well, now at least I don't feel so silly about considering a second one that just came into the shop. I do feel a little silly that it kept me up a good portion of the night last night, though.
