| Black River Gunsmithing
I have found an Enfield gunsmith! Jim Balogh of Black River Gunsmithing (440) 458-5396 He works on all kinds of Enfield rifles. He is also a super guy to do business with. Call or e-mail him, he quotes all projects individually. jlbalogh@comcast.net

Jim removed the "cant" from my SAR 1 Romanians. I had some from the first batch that came into the USA around '98 or '99. Gas blocks and sights were all crooked. He repaired the "cant", installed East German muzzle breaks, replaced the sorry Century "trigger slap" fire control system with a new trigger group and grey parkerized them. He also installed East German stocks and forends... super work! The new triggers have to be felt to be believed. Jim is now doing work on Enfield rifles. He prices every job individually so give him a call if you need anything. Enfield gunsmiths are hard to find. He is only the second I have listed on GunandGame, the other, Tony West, is out of business.

Hmm, what about rebarreling a SMLE for a caliber conversion? And another item I've been thinking of, what about rebarreling a Mauser to military specs?

Jim is a great guy who does very fine work. He did my Enfield as well. He also built me an AK and a Garand. He also rebarreled a US Model 1917 rifle that he sold me. The 1917 had a badly scarred chamber and he replaced the barrel for free since he sold it to me. I will attach photos of some of these.

Jim does great work. He Built No4 Mk I for me, He also sold me a US Model 1917 that had a scarred chamber. When I told him about it he replaced the barrel at no charge. He built an AK underfolder and a Garand for me. He was instrumental in getting my CETME in to top working order. See photos of some if his work:
