Trader Rating: (0) | Try the reenacting online store What Price Glory? WHAT PRICE GLORY They have original WWII Canadian dated slings for $16.00. Look under British webbing. Last edited by Dallas; 10-06-2006 at 01:52 PM. |

Trader Rating: (0) | The circle broad arrow stamp is/was the standard stamp used by the British government during the early to late mid 20th century as a mark of accepted government (military) property. The stamp tells me that the sling was maufactured somewhere in the British Empire in 1941. Please note the only exception to that would be Canada, they used the exact same stamp except they had a large C inside the circle along with the arrow (this is what What Price Glory is selling). I would imagen ITD is probably LTD which is the British equivelent of INC. I will check on the SSH for you and see if i can get the name of the company. So you would be correct for WWII from 1941 on. |

| Senior Member | The Canadian Govt stamp is the capital C with the british broad arrow head in the middle . This same stamp can be found on Longbranch rifle parts and military web gear . Here's a photo of Longbranch and the C-arrow Canadian Govt stamp ( top left )stamps on an Longbranch bayo . On a sling and web gear the C-arrow stamp is usually large and easy to spot. ![]() Great info link, The Lee-Enfield Rifle Here's a some links for Canadian slings . Welcome to Numrich Gun Parts Corp. ( with this link , they show a pict of a Canadian sling) Marstar Canada Home Page Collector's Source
