I have been looking at the local gun store and they have a No. 4 Mk 1 the bore looks good wood seems like it has been issued but not in horrible condition going for 130.00 the only thing that is holding me back from getting one is it seems the hand guard is loose i have noticed this problem with a couple of them is this normal for the gun and is 130 good?? ![]() |

It's an okay price, not great but not bad either. Good rifles indeed.

Good luck with it, if you do get it. I have one, and I love it. $130.00 isn't a bad price if it's in decent shape. It's one of the smoothest actions out there. I like the peep sight of the No 4 much better than the No. III Mk I. Only draw back is no windage adjustment, but I can deal with that. I got new furniture from Numrich arms, and it made a such a difference. Eventually I'd like to get the metal refinished, but not very high on the priority list right now.

I keep telling him it isn't natural to cuddle an Enfield in public like that; it's disturbing. He should save that sort of thing for his Mosin 91/30...
