take the bolt out and look down the bore at the target

Welcome.I dont understand what the problem is.The .303 British is .312 bullet. The .30cal.arbor should meisure .295 or such. The right arbor should be the .32 which meisures .305.Someone that is into military guns should know but I thought there was a 7.5 enfield. sam.

They make a boresight for high scope mounts but this is where a laser boresight really pays for itself. All you have to know is the distance between your sight line and bore line and compensate. In other words if the sightline is 1 1/2" over bore line put the crosshairs 1 1/2" over the laser dot.You still have to fine tune.Another way is place a target at 25yds sight in on the bull, fire one shot, put the crosshairs back on the bullseye, hold the firearm firmly, turn crosshairs to where the bullet struck remembering to compensate for boreline-sightline as stated above. You also have to adjust for the drop from 25yds and 100yds or whatever range you are shooting. sam.

yesterday with a new rifle i did just that.
@25 yds. aim at bulls and chase the bullet.
it took 3 shots to be dead on .
today i will do it @ 100 yds.
