ishapore

I recently scored a couple rifles. One a BSA martini cadte 310,another is a 1953 ishapore 303 no1mk3.It is in very poor overall condition(ill take a pic today). What i want to know is how many of my american mates have a 303 ishapore?I know there are a lot of ishapore 7.62,but what about 303?

irish murphy,
I have a 1986 made Ishapore #1Mk3 that is a great rifle...also have Ishy in 7.62. Both are well made, several people might refute my statement but they are neither worn, exhibit headspace problems or cause safety concerns. I look at my brass and have seen no tell-tale signs of a problem. My .303 is a fine arm, it is a fine shooter.

I have a '45 GRI Mklll* .303brit that was factory repaired at BSA in '53 . Nice rifle in top condition.
The "Ishy" screw was replaced by a wood plug . I don't know if this was a BSA repair .
