| .303 should be swaged
If you do not know how to do this, have a gunsmith run a swage through the barrel to get a measure of the bore diameter. In the rush to manufacture rifles both during the war and sometimes after the war, bore diameters were acceptable to .311. This lead to phenominally inacurrate rifles even though the .303 was a good cartridge. |
