| exploding stock!!!
So about the 20 round mark the wood repair (not visible until cleaned) started to rattle apart...then the other side split thus causing the bottom stock to crack open bothsides around thw magwell....grrr I will post pics soon but this was pretty frustrating. Has this happened to anyone else or did I get a bad one? I am thinking of goin with the plastic sporter stock to prevent this from happening again...any feedback would be awesome |

With a decent (undamaged) stock, I don't think it would be much of a concern. I have two Enfields and the original wood seems plenty solid.

I have a enfield that has been to hell and back and still has all the original wood as far as I can tell. Very beat up looking but still solid.

I have 2 that I have fired 100s of rounds through without any problems. Must be the weak one out of 100,000 or so. Gun shows sometimes have replacement stocks. Nick |
