You're looking at commercial factory of one flavour or another. Nobody has used .303 ball for eons. The supplies of milsurp are long gone.

I broke down and bought dies. I'm going to try some 7.62x39 .311 projectiles and see how they do. 125 grain Sierra SP's work great in the Enfield. I have soem 110gn Berry's that I use a reduced load on. They are ok for close range plinking albeit too short to feed from mag and must be single loaded. For economy, I'm rooting for the 7.62x39's

I prefer to use 174gn or 180gn pills in my smle. They shoot better than the 125gn i tried.150gn wasnt much better.Maybe my rifle just likes the heavier pills.

Go to Discount Hunting Gear, Discount Hunting Boots, Discount Shoes, Discount Ammunition, Discount Ammo, Discount Boots, Military Surplus, Outdoor Gear At the Sportsman's Guide they were selling .303 FMJ ammunition around $60.00 for 400 rounds. Best deal i was able to find anywhere. You get about one missfire every 30 rounds but other than that it shoots great.(they also sell 5 round stripper clips that work great too)

That is why I have some $25 per box of 20 to use when the serious shooting needs done. But for keeping up with the enfieild trigger pull and sites I will shoot the cheap junk. I can stock a lot of it for the price.

They definitely shoot better heavier. The gn store would not sell me 10 of each to experiment with, now I gotta shoot 'em all up, LOL

I know the sierra 303 projies in 174gn spbt or hpbt shoot very well, but they cost your left nut over here so i use cheaper pills.I pay $32 per 100 for the best projies,Taipan 174gn HPBT match. These shoot the best.Rem corlokts arent bad either in 180gn.For most of my rifle matches like millitary service and big game rifle comp i use highland 180gn spbt. They only cost$42 per 200.Hunting i use the highlands or corelokts.I tried the taipans but they didnt open up well.

I use Winchester SuperX 180gn from Canadian Tire at $20 for a box of 20. Getting too damn expensive.
