Request for help to identify markings on case of .303 ammunition

Hello,

Could any one help me identify a sealed case of .303 ammo I've picked up .

Apologies for no photos. My camera is not working . It's rectungular, but had been painted black obscuring any painted markings. On each end its stamped:

H52 MK2

(The number 24 in a circle) GS 1953

SU156 A

I think it contains a couple of hundred rounds.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you let me know what is stamped on the round I may be able to help you. I downloaded a bunch of info once from the Harrington Aviation Museum.
