Way too much gun

I didn't have any .22 long rifle ammunition today when I decided to get rid of this pesky squirrel out to my place. I loaded up the .303 sporter and learned a valuable lesson: an Enfield is too much gun for a squirrel. This same critter has used my truck engine as a storage place for dog food he stole from my pup one time too many. Today he learned the error of his ways, but I felt bad when I saw the damage. The shot was a shade over 20 yds. I aimed for his head, and I removed most of his upper body. There may not be any jobs to big for an Enfield, but there ARE some too small.

Well I guess that proves that the .303 is even to this day a proven battle rifle

The squirrel is dead isnt it? I would say the old girl did it's job pretty well.

I shot a plover (a pain in the ass noisy bird) once with my .303-270 it had much the same effect. I stalked in on this wild dog for 40 minuets or so, Just as i was about to take the shot the bastard plover went nuts, the dog lifted his head up and was gone in a flash. So he coped a 110gr Sierra for his trouble.

The only good gun control is hitting what your aiming at.

Poor little Squirrel.

Just tryin' to make himself a home and feed his family. Then you come along all upset over a couple small morsels of dog food.
