No1 MkIII* Line Thrower

I recently picked up a British No1 MkIII* Line Thrower gun. It is a converted No1 MkIII* with the bore reamed smooth. The follower and follower spring are removed. A large "LT" is painted on the butt stock so that the piece can easily be identified as a Line Thrower. Evidently, the line was launched by a special cartridge. Anyone have any info on these, as I would like to swap it out for something else.

Is it wire wrapped?

No Sir, not wire wrapped.
Just standard WWI, markings on the wrist and dated WWI, but no wire around the stock, like we see on grenade launcher SMLE pieces.
Without picking it up, one would think that it is a regular SMLE No1 MkIII, save for the large painted block letters on the butt stock.
I got the rifle totally slathered up with cosmoline and it is still that way.
