Enfield Bayonet Frog

When I recently purhased my Savage No. 4 Mk1* Enfield, it came complete with a Savage marked bayonet, scabbard, and an odd bayonet frog. The frog is my question as it is LEATHER, not the usual webbing frog. There are no markings what so ever, no buckle across the front above the scabbard notch, however it fits fine and there is nothing that makes me think it is anything but original to the scabbard, though I could be wrong. I have googled to my hearts content on this frog, but I have not found anything on leather frogs for the Mk 1 bayonet.

Anyone have any ideas?
