| Senior Member | Thanks mate i will pass it on. Surely some of you in the Enfeild forum could help out. Seeing as 99% of you are from the US. 90 views and 1 reply. You all had to buy your Enfeilds from somewhere? Last edited by Nathan123; 07-12-2008 at 09:01 PM. |

| Member | Okay, here's what I suggest. Go to local gun shops and gun shows and look around. Do a web search for auctions. The big site here is gunbroker.com The obvious problem is he will have to take on faith the condition is as stated. Most will allow a return if it's not as advertised but that means you pay to ship it to you and then back again and still don't have a gun! He will also have to set up something with a local FFL01 dealer to act as the go between unless he has his FFL03 license. From my experience, if the seller says Very Good condition it translates to Good. Good to Fair at best, etc. you get the idea. There is a site called ISoldMyGun.com that has enfields pretty cheap but be warned the guy there that always has them is not too reliable. I bought a few from him and WAS NOT impressed. ![]() |

| Senior Member | I've had really good luck with gunbroker.com. Over the last couple of years, I've purchased a Savage SMLE M4 MK I*, M1 Carbine, Smith Corona 1903A3 and Enfield Model 2 revolver. They were all exactly as described. It is a good idea to do a lot of shopping and check the feedback of the seller before bidding. I just did a quick search, There are two pages of "Enfield" choices and four rifles in .308 ranging from $100 to $150.

| Member | If your close to a Dunhams Sports Store they have them. You can look them over there. I bought two in good condition . Both are MK4 #1. One is U.S. property and the other is British. 240.00 and 179.00 may be high to some but no transfer or shipping fees. I really like those two Enfields. |

| Member | GunsAmerica.com is also a good site. It's not an auction site, they list the price they want. I've purchased a few firearms through this site and was very satisfied. Ask for plenty of photos and the usual 3 day inspection period. Many sellers will come down a bit from their asking price. Lots of Enfields are usually listed. |

| Senior Member | Thanks folks. He found himself a No4 Mk1 in good condition. He was trying to find a nice Mk3 but they are quite rare over there from what i understand. We have plenty over here. But his No4 is in good nick and a nice rifle. Thanks for the help. |

| Senior Bear Fluffer ![]() | Century Arms has them for sale as well. Can be ordered from them but make sure you understand the return policy. Sometimes they are less than described. I found a few in local gun shops. I have two a No 5 and a SMLE. Love both of them.
