| I've been searching around for a good scope mount for this rifle and have found a few different ones, but they all seem to have mixed reviews. I was wondering if anybody here had any luck finding a reasonably priced, and good quality, scope mount for their 2A, or any good experiences to share. I'm looking for something that dosen't require any drilling and tapping, nothing permanent, and something that would allow me to mount a 3-9x40mm scope. Any help or recomendations would be a HUGE help. ![]() |

| scope mount for .308 Ishapore Quote:
But, here's what I put together: No Drill or Tap Scope Mount #2 for Enfield-2A It's an offset scope base that clamps to the barrel flat up front, does not put pressure on the receiver ring, and has a piece that fits into the charger guide. Scope is about 7/8" offset - left. No Drill or Tap! Paul (aka BartSr) | |

| I ended up using a pistol scope and XS scout mount on my sporterized 2a. It has held zero perfectly, and allows the use of stripper clips. XS Sight Systems - Scope Mounts On the 2a I wanted to leave as original as possible (a still be able to hit something) I went with a Mojo sight. The original rear sight was just too hard for me to see. Peep Sights by MOJO Sighting Systems |

| my original sights seemed to work fine so far, but then again I havent taken a shot past 100yds so... The first time I took my 2A out to the range I ran into a guy, retired Army colonel, and he had said something about replacing the original sights but I was having some trouble finding them, thanks CMA G21 |

| K75RT, did you buy one for your 2A? I got mine in a couple days ago, and for under 20 bucks I think it was a great deal considering the price of similar mounts |

| my brother just bought me one of those e-bay mounts. it didn't have the front set screw either. when i get a chance to size it, i'll let you know. if you're still looking for scopes, i got a barska huntmaster 3-9 x 50mm from optics planet a few months ago that's holding up great so far(knock wood). put a few hundred rounds of mil-surp 7.62x54r through it. the mounts have loosened up twice but the scope's holding zero. shot a 1.25" three-shot group at 100 yds with my m44 the other night. i'll buy another barska next time as well.

| I do not remember the size but I think it is 6mmx1.5 it is not 1/4-20 as the list says. Bring your mount to a local hardware store and try the metric set screws out. Please note, the set screw starts with the allen head towards the back and the point goes towards the receiver ring.... |
