Enfield Stripper Clips

Does anyone know the proper way to use the .303 Enfield stripper clips? Sometimes they work smooth as butter and other times I can't get them to work at all. Pictures and video would be nice if you can, but any information would be good.

I never would have guessed that was the correct way to do it. Thanks.

When finished loading, closing the bolt will flick the now empty charger out of the charger bridge and away from the receiver.;

i didnt know that part.
i have at least 80 of those things but never use them.

Wow. I can honestly say I didn't know that. I'm going to be getting some shortly and this will certainly help.

Thanks.

And as I'm waiting to get my first Enfield, I'm going wow, I have never seen a stripper loaded in a sequence like that.

I just reloaded all my stripper clips yesterday. I wasted a lot of time trying to get those damn rims to lay flat against the back of the clip. Duh!!!

Having grown up with the Lee Enfield and used them since about age 13 in the cadets, you tend to forget that not everyone is aware of the correct way to load the charger.

Stripper clips look like the best way to go. I've seen many articles that say changing mags is a waiste of time. The rifles were made so that they can be recharged quickly with the strippers and it's cheaper to give a soldier a bandalier of clips rather than magazines.

More Stripper clips

Great note on how to load those things, so ok, next question. Where can I get stripper clips. Never see them, or have missed seeing them in Sarco ads. Any help will be appreciated, as I can't find extra No4. mkII mags. They all will not interchange.
Thanks

Just got ten, myself. Don't really need to see the need for more. If I can't hit it with fifty shots, I don't need to be shooting at it.

Got ten stripper clips, and they work pretty good. But the first five sure go in easier than the second five.

Never tried. And they frown on rapid firing at the range I go to. I was told to slow down when I was firing my Saiga .223

Taking some fine steel wool with some oil and rubbing , lightly , inside the charger will help for a smooth load.
Chargers are great for hunting as well.

Change ranges or get on the committee and change their mindset.
Almost all our "Service Rifle" competitions have a "Mad Minute" element.

Shooting is meant to be fun!

Well they do have an area called the pit, where anything goes. But you can't put a target in it. But you can throw crap like washing machines and stuff in it. It's pretty fun to just let go, especially with guns like my AK with a thirty round mag. The ranges near me are few and far between. Too close to Chicago and Daley's gun grabbing goons.
