Place Your Bets: Enfield vs. K31
Who do you think would win a mad minute? A K31 or an Enfield No.1 Mk3*. Keep in mind this is without professional shooters.

Hard to say the K-31 has one of the fastest actions but the Enfield holds more rounds in the mag and is fast too.

I think Enfield strippers are easier to use then those wax dipped cardboard things the K-31 uses. My money is on the Enfield.

The relevance is a friend and I are going to test this, and I just want to see peoples opinions.

I think it is a good contest and we should have a BBQ and a Keg party and see what happens!

My money is on the Enfield! Please post how many shots you manage to get off. If you do alright, you can maybe also post how many shots you got on the target.

The contest isn't really between the rifles; It is between the shooters. The rifle is "capable" of the performance, but is the shooter? To be fair about it you would both need to be familiar with both rifles and then shoot one and then switch rifles and do it again. Enjoy.

I agree. You both need to shoot both rifles, and take the average. By the way, my bet is on the Enfield.

I own both a K31 and a couple enfields. If I were to bet and skill of shooters are the same I also would bet on the Enfield.

Not a bad idea to trade off. This event is still a ways away, but I was curious on your views. We're both excellent shooters, just not military trained professionals.

A good shooter is a good shooter. It's amazing how many "military trained" shooters really are average at best. Sounds like you two will be having some fun no matter which rifle comes out on top. I've never shot a K31 so I can't judge but I'm rooting for the Enfield.

Hey, I am going for the underdog here. K31!!!
Besides... I have two K31s, and only one Enfield....for now.

Sorry to have gotten your hopes up, but this test hasn't taken place yet. I don't think we can try this until after December 21st. Both of us need ammo and we need to mark off 300 yards. But, I won't forget to post the results.
