I've been looking for a cheek-rest like those, know where I could find one? I saw some for about $80, but that just seems way too much to ask for a piece of wood as small as that one.

My humble little Enfield; BSA 1918, No.1 Mk.III*.
She is pretty used, got her when I was 18 for something around 45 bucks. After a little tender-loving care she cleaned right up
Anything with a number stamped on it matches.

Billy:
Beautiful.
The owner of a really small gun shop in Memphis ("Phil's Guns") has a Longbranch just like yours, and is mint, other than a tiny cut and the cheek rest drilled into the blond wood:
only $599.

only $599. | Unusual to see a Long Branch in blond. Most of the Blond wood Enfields you see lately are either PF or UF ROF series rifles that have just came out of the warp.
If you plan on serious target work with an Enfield the cheek rest is a real improvement for a consistent sight picture.
This is a UF ROF rifle that shoots under 2 moa.

Anything with a number stamped on it matches. | That is one fine looking No1. So far I have been able to avoid the No1 rifles. My safes are full, my walk-in closet is no longer walk-in.
I have posted most of these but this is the first group shot I have taken. Amazing how fast these thing multiply.

I have a '46 Faz JC but the wood is much lighter & more uneven in tone.
I also notice that your No.I MkIII looks very similar in colour.
Since I am new around here I don't know how to post photo's yet but I will post when I figure it out.
Peter (in Burlington, Ont.) | Sarnia Ont. here
I just kept it clean and a hand rub of BLO every now and then...no staining !
Both the No5 anf Mklll* are in walnut stocks. |
