Enfield Price Thread

I think we are long overdue for an Enfield price thread...

No4mk1 tend to be $250 at the Dunhams in the area.. Came across a No5mk1 today at the Sioux City gun show that the owner was asking $600 on in fairly rough condition.

I was In western Ia last weekend kick it around going to that show. But passed.

What I have seen Local No4's most are rough shape 200.00-up. If a long branch or Savage add another 75.00-to 100.00 on it.

There are not many at the shows as of late--Oh the same fella with his rare No 1's for 400-450

If I go back to January I sold 2 at local Auction here the Savage went 285.00 w/10%buyers fee.. A No1 ishy .308 went 175.00.

Just bought a beautiful No. 5 Mk 1 for $475.00 on gunbroker. All original, matching numbers. About 90% condition or better.

Came with an original WWII sling.

Dealer was from Florida

They're out there

My first LE, #4 "ROF {F}", was ordered from 'Joesalter' a few weeks ago. Exactly as described and wish that I had discovered LEs much sooner. The 'J. Carbine' in very good condition was about $450.

Have you folks checked not just the selection, but the variety and quality/illum. of the photos? Many of the guns and militaria are imported from his Canadian business.
After checking his many items and descriptions, I quickly lost interest in G-broker.

Salter provides a phone number.

Grabbed one from the Fremont gun show today.. Australia stamped and good looking blonde wood but the previous owner shortened the stock and painted parts of it black. I do not think it is matching serials from the looks of it, but it is a 1940 SMLE. Shiny bore and good rifling but a bit of surface rust peppering the outside of the barrel. $125 got me it and around 35 rounds of Winchester and Remington 303.

I came across a great find at a gun show last month. No.4 Mk.1. Not sure of manufacture, but I suspect its English made. Need to get out and get some shooting in to see how it checks out. Bore looks great! Stock is in good shape too. $150.

My uncle has a No.4 Mk II he told me he'd take $200 for. I dont know the manufacturer or year but is in very good condition. I've been debating it and a few others he has for sale.

Very nice, original No. 5 with matching bolt: $399. Good bore too; I was very happy to grab it at this price.

In NY.
(NOT the City; a part of NY state where folks actually hunt and fish!)

My apology, as the authentic "J. Carbine" is always a #5.

I would have liked to have told that owner, I refuse to pay anything under $750.00.
