Enfield Value

Hello all

I was at the local gun/militaria store today and someone was buying a Lee Enfield No.4 for $850! It was a pretty nice rifle to be sure, but it was a plain old ROF (F) with nice looking wood that was original to the rifle. Non-matching.

I got my Enfield (almost the exact same rifle) for $200 at a gun show!

I was reading an old Shotgun News from 2007 where JGSales had Enfields for $109.95!

While I really want an Enfield, there are SO many more guns I would buy for that price.

And my MATCHING ROF(F) was $169 + shipping.

sorry wouldn't have paid that much for one. I have seen some on gunbroker go for quite a bit but they were the unissued rifles or so they claim. They looked perfect but still I don't think I could spend that much on one.

Wow! I think the guy got duped. Unless there is something we don't know that's way too much.

Could it have been a sniper variant or something like that?

I've seen "PF" Irish contract rifles in the warp bring that price but a plain Jane No4, he got boned. A "T" model would be in that range.

I wouldn't give that for a 55 gallon drum full of them. I sold my matching no.1 MKIII last year for 175.00 and threw in a 1907 Wilkinson bayonet and sheath.
