| Beat-up Enfield
I was at a gun shop buying .303 shells(which i never did, went home with an M95) and there was a horrible beat up piece of cosmoline shaped like an enfield.Turns out it was a '55 Ishy with no bolt that they wanted 399 for.I bought mine for 150 and all matching with a crystal clear bore. What has America come to when you cant get a parts gun for less than what a complete and better one would cost.My No.1 Mk.3* is still my favorite out of all my guns.Glad I know how to treat an old war hero right. With lots of handloads and oil.Only the best for My Ishy!

I just looked at a beat up 1905 hex receiver Mosin at a pawn shop. There was absolutely nothing redeeming about it except it's history. The store wanted $235 but said they would consider a counter offer. I told them I could get very good to like-new Mosins for around $139; so, how about $90? Of course he said no. I guess he knew the "frantic and the desperate" wouldn't be far behind when I left.
