NC Shoot/Meeting

NEW INFO: Date will be Sat AUG 7th, starting at about 2PM. The C&E Gun Show is in Fayetteville that weekend, from 9am-5pm at the Crown Expo Center. This will give everyone an opportunity to go to the show and come here after (we are about 30 minutes away). We may also decide to have everyone meet at the show, then convoy out to our house. :uzi:

My wife and I are new members and would like to host a meet/shoot at our property in NC.

We both enjoy all sorts of shooting sports and are NRA members. The end of last year we moved to the Fayetteville area of North Carolina from Baltimore Maryland. We feel so much better after moving out of Maryland (no offense to those of you who live there).

We bought 5+ acres (not much, but enough) in a very rural area. I have built a small range (about 85 yards long/2-3 lanes, w/a canopy) in the back of the property. There is another larger area for skeet. It is an ideal spot for our personal shooting. We were very limited as to where we could shoot when we lived in MD, so this is a very nice change.

Because we are new to this area I thought this would be a good way to meet some new people and have a good time doing it.

We have not finalized a date yet, but it should be a weekend in the next few weeks. The thought is to have sort of a potluck barbeque where we supply the burgers, dogs, and soda, and everyone else brings sides and deserts. And as always BYOA (bring your own ammo).

This post is to get an idea of the interest in this event. The location is about 25 miles east of Fayetteville NC, zip 28441 (check mapquest).
