Gun and Game Forum Shootout

This shoot is set up on the Honor System. Go to your local range and participate in the Class(es) you wish to shoot in. Have fun and shoot often.

Class I: Pistol; 15 yards; 5 shots each target.

Class II: Rifle-iron sights; 100 yards; 5 shots each target.

Class III: Rifle-scoped; 100 yds; 5 shots each target.

Rules: One target per member per event. Family members and friends are encouraged to participate.

Grading: Targets will graded on a points system from the center out. Each circumferal group of blocks decreases in points with the center red being ten. Targets will also be graded on best grouping.

Time Limit: Shoot will run from June 18th to July 3rd (2 weeks).

Entry: Targets to be scanned and e-mailed to me or sent via USPS to me. Send PM for adress. Targets must include following info in one of the corners:

G&G Member Name
Your guest's name if applicable
Category
Weapon type/calibre


First place is Bragging Rights and an imaginary date with MissSharpshooter.

Well, dang....I just got done doing my shooting Thursday and had no idea this would take place like this.

I guess I'da been left out anyway because the most I can now shoot iron sights is 75 yards and I'm danged if I'm gonna scope all of my mil surp rifles.

But, I hope y'all have fun.

Howsabout having separate classes for scoped rimfires (.17 and .22) and centerfire (.223 and up)? Combining them isn't really fair. It would increase our shooting fun too.
Ideally, I would have separate semi-auto and bolt rifle classes - but maybe next time around?

I'm printing the targets now. :nod:

It will all be determined on how many people participate. I will run some polls for the next shoot to see what might be of interest.

Did you change the target a second time? I originally downloaded the first target, then the second. Now I am seeing a link to a third "official" target, which is different than what I shot. I shot both the first and second.

I think this is from the shoot earlier, that is the old target. I think that this is the new one: Atleast this is the target I shot for the labor day shoot.
