Shot today. Not the best or the worst I've ever done. I shot the 223 & 308 for the scoped class. Group size was not horrendous. Just can't seem to get the little boogers in the 10X. I need to work with the 223 some more, probably only have 50 rds through it.
Used the 'ole Garand for the open sight 100 yard portion. I plopped down and shot one target of each catagory, so I didn't have time to tweek things out. This was in the interest of time as I had to get to work this A:M.
I was most satisfied with the pistol target. SA when you get it, yes, it is 5 shots, really. I shot .38 Special 158 grain SWC's from the Blackhawk. You know, with all the wonder 9's wonder 40's & this and thats, the .38 still holds it's own especially in the accuracy dept.
Now, on to Black Death. I may need to revisit this. I tried 25 yards. I did take 3 targets on this one. I sampled the little circles out and picked what I was fairly comfortable with. Well the practice target is gone. The other two I managed to nick a little black on. One danged shot each time. Harder than it looks.
All in all a good range morning. Got to see a couple of the retired guys that are there frequently. We all had our Garands out. It was fun comparing S/N's etc.. Got to catch up on what everyone was mad at the board about etc..

Are borrowed rifles allowed, or does it have to be owned by the shooter?

Yes, it can be frustrating............... especially when you 2 or 3 in the 7 pt and then hit black!

YES, any rifles borrowed or those held for ransom are allowed.

Iv'e got time, I'm going back for the black death. Even if I have to shoot the big circle at 25 yards. LOL

Might try the Remington Single shot 514. Can't do much worse than I did with a scoped 10/22 today

Ahh Crud!!!
As much as I wanted to partipate, there is so much to do! Not all is lost, I was at the range twice but had other priorities. Shot my Bushy AR15 and now have 200 and 300 yard "zeros". Also shot at 600 to get "zero". Alass! Not all is lost.
SA, thanks for "Chairing" the shoot.
