Question Nice Rifle Range In MN

Can anybody recommend a rifle range in MN that is open to the public? Preferably around the Twin Cities or south of them?
Thanks!

You'll have to do a little digging. The DNR does maintain a shooting range list but I can't link to it for some reason. See if this link works later:

www.dnr.state.mn.us/shooting_ranges/index.html

If they show a range out of Welch MN I would not recommend it. Lots of politics, and very little shooting. Just a bunch of big fat guys with big mouths that can't get into shooting positions anymore due to the beer guts. Some of them never shoot all year long but like to just come to the meetings and create trouble for the few that could even qualify annually for marksman.

Ok that link is working for the DNR now. You can highlight specific counties your interested in. There was a State shooting range down by Wabasha MN. It's not showing on the list for some reason. There was no club to join, just clean up your stuff when your done shooting. I think they had a 200 yard range?

Can you recommend one or two out of that list? My preference would be an outdoor range rifle/pistol range that doesn't charge an arm and a leg for a day membership.

Shooting ranges: Minnesota DNR (Rosemount)

Shooting ranges: Minnesota DNR (Wanamingo)

Not really certain how far south you are of metro. I live in Hastings. I pulled these two off the State DNR list. Buddy of mine may have belonged to the 1st club many years ago.

I'm going to be off line for three days (heading north) so any questions won't be answered until Monday.

I have heard good stuff about the Riverfalls Wisconsin club but have never been there. My vision went to hell so no more competition shooting for me, plenty of hunting, just no more volume shooting for points.

Have a good trip, Killer. I am in the Belle Plaine area. I am just looking for a nice place to shoot. They are building too many houses around my buddy's farm, so I am looking for an alternative. I am not really into competitive shooting, just looking for a friendly place to shoot, peroid.
