I'm new to the forum and wanted to ask the above question.

Are coyotes hard on the deer population, and if seen, should they be exterminated with extreme prejudice? The person I hunt with used to hunt this property long ago and they are no where near the amount of deer there; even though the hunting pressure has decreased dramatically. But we see lots of coyotes and I tend to shoot them if given the chance.
