Got a '59 Romy, with tapco furniture with the picatinny rail on the upper hand guard. Picked up a cheapo red/green dot scope at wally world..... and here is my real problem, the hand guard has Lots of play in it and the only way i can figgure to fix it is to shim it with somethin, which looks like S**T, any other brite ideas runnin around out there? It is not the scope, put her on a friends rifle and dialed her right in. After a little research turns out this is one of them. well, after searching high and low for a ZRAC M-89 scope that the rail is for, i realized that I could by a PSL or Rem 700 for what they are asking for them. so, I contacted Kalinka Optics about putting a POSP on it and for my B-day coming up I purchased the chosen optic. it is the 4X24 with the 400m Simonov ranging reticle. it sits a little high, but works well and has good, clear glass. now I'll quit rambling and show some pics.

Even tried American Eagle brand ( little more $$ but still not overly accurate)

I am going to have to disagree. I would put the Norinco right underneath the Russian. I know the Yugo fans out there are going to disagree. The Yugo's are good guns but to me are to heavy. So my question is.....Out of the Russian, Norinco, Yugo, and Romanian. In what oder do you rank them? We shall see if it turns to a black goop and FTF. I can still hear it, but its happy.
