i received this rifle back in May thru a trade, it had an odd little rail attached to the left side that i originally thought that "bubba" had put on. then i remember reading about some weapons (SKS's) that Century Arms and Interordnance had imported back in 2002 that had "field expedient" rails attached during the Bosnian/Serb conflict from '95. After a little research turns out this is one of them. well, after searching high and low for a ZRAC M-89 scope that the rail is for, i realized that I could by a PSL or Rem 700 for what they are asking for them. so, I contacted Kalinka Optics about putting a POSP on it and for my B-day coming up I purchased the chosen optic. it is the 4X24 with the 400m Simonov ranging reticle. it sits a little high, but works well and has good, clear glass. now I'll quit rambling and show some pics.

Ok I have read a few threads over the months on different forums indicating Norincos are the bottom of the sks chain. I am going to have to disagree. I would put the Norinco right underneath the Russian. I know the Yugo fans out there are going to disagree. The Yugo's are good guns but to me are to heavy. So my question is.....Out of the Russian, Norinco, Yugo, and Romanian. In what oder do you rank them? Starting with best first.

When it is in the 2 oclock position the grenade ladder is loose a little, but if i press the switch further down, as if trying to go to a 3 oclock position, it locks the ladder in place the switch stays pressed down, but easily pops back up. Is this normal for the switch to do this? I've never really noticed it.
