I need a pair of boots. Ill be deer hunting in upstate NY the temps can range from 45 on a warm opening day to some colder temps at the end of the season in the 20's. I want a boot that will keep my feet warm while sitting in the morning but something that I wont sweat too bad in while stalking. Ive been looking at 800,1000,1200,1400 grams of insolation. What do you all recomend? I found a good deal on a pair of 1400's. Also do you all prefer the soild rubber boots, or the lace up type?? Ive heard the rubber boots tend to be colder.? Any in put would help out.

Hello to the forum,

Living o the western slope of Colorado where 300 + yards is the norm I need some advise on a rifle. I inherited a pre-64 Winchester model 70 in .264 magnum. I shot it as a kid at everything and did not care for it as well as I should have. It now shoots a 4 inch group at 100 yards.

I want to accurize it. I'm thinking a new barrel in a longer length, even 34 inches.

I wonder if I should have it re-chambered, and if so, to what caliber?

Thanks for your opinions

Cheers,

John
