Talking This ought to start a couple of good hearted arguments

What do 'yall like on your grits.

Yes, I know I'm a Yankee, but qualify to discuss this due to the fact of having Kin in GA.

But hey, Yankees like grits too

I've never been able to acquire a taste for grits regardless what was one them such as eggs, butter, sugar, etc.

To me they always tasted like what I thought ground up rubber shoe soles would taste like.

I think AllenT is being comical.

I like corn grits dusted on a roll. If in a cereal, I'd say with sugar and maybe butter.

Depending on the cooking, I'd tentatively say homefries over hash browns.

I dont think allen is being funny the further west you go, the less grits you will see on the menu, I like grits but forget about finding them on a menu in new mexico, heuvos rancheros, I dont even know how to make them or what ingrediants to use, I asked about grits at my local smiths, and they went --what? edited what are home fries? like freedom fries, whats home fries? I dont have a clue

Thumbs up

Grits - depends on the meal.
Breakfast, I like 'em plain with soft-fried eggs and sausage - all mixed up together. Mmmmm, good!
With fish (preferably mullet or fresh-caught catfish) - I like cheese grits. Cheese grits are great with pork chops too.

I like both homefries and hashbrowns.
The nod probably goes to homefries with thick rich sausage gravy - good breakfast!

Butter salt a little pepper on the grits.

Home fries with the fried chicken, hashbrowns for breakfast.
