Ok. so not everyone is a good cook, and some-times while camping putting wieners on a stick seems like hard work! Try this. I'm in the low income catagory, so instead of buying T.V. dinners I just dish my own after cooking a big meal, and toss it in the freezer. I don't have a microwave, so use tinfoil pie plates (if any one eats take out chinese food those containers work great). These are great for ovens or over the campfire. Also home-made soups and stews I put in a freezer bag. Just discovered a fringe benifit. These containers take up no more room in your cooler, and stay frozen just as long as ice. Actually soups, etc, stay frozen longer due to salt content. Even while still frozen throw it in a pot, and pretty soon your eating a great tasting home-made meal, while your buddys are stuck with burnt wieners covered in ashes. Most stuff keeps frozen for 1 or 2 days and will keep for 1 or 2 more in a decent cooler. Four days of eating goood meals, sure beats dumping out a cooler full of melted ice water.
