| Breasting a wild turkey??
How in the Raiders of the Lost Ark do I peform this mystical feat? I got offered to go shoot a turkey or two on my boss's land and she said all I gotta do is bring a tag. Well my grandma quickly shot down my idea of her de-feathering and cooking a turkey haha. So now I was told by my boss why bother de-feathering when you can just breast it and toss the rest.
How do you do this? Is there some easy way and any special smells I should be ready for upon openin the chest of a gobbler?

It's pretty easy. Just slit the skin over the breast by sliding the knife under the skin and cutting up toward you, pull the skin and feathers to the sides and the breast is totally exposed and you can pretty easily see where to cut out the breast. The first time you might miss some, but it gets easier. Turkeys smell, but mostly if you get into their stomach and intestine area.

So basically you're telling me its the first time with a girl in the backseat or the deserted parent's house? Might be a bit fumbly with my hands but I'll get the hang of it?

Okay, let's make this easy. Go to the grocery store and look at a whole chicken fryer. Same set up, only lots bigger.

Well from what my boss is telling me, it won't be hard to kill a turkey or two. They have learned her grain spreading habits and now inhabit that stretch of her land. Should be easy...similar to that curious first g/f OOPS!!

Just remember, that's why they call it hunting and not killing.

Just remember, those birds can see almost 360 degrees around them, you move, you're busted. Turkey hunting is the funnest thing ever. I love it. Good luck, you will be hooked after the first one.

I'm kinda excited, never hunted birds before. Hopefully my grandpa will let me use his 12ga.
