I have two Pjk-9hp, one was a lemon, but the other an early import shoots really well. The lemon was a newer production Pjk-9hp and there was something wrong with either the slide or the extractor, I still can't seem to figure out which. A gunsmith worked on the extractor, but it still jammed up tight with and empty case after a few shots. I finally bought a used slide on e-bay and the thing shoots really well now. I'm thinking about picking up the 40 cal kit from www.ssmedwi.com and using it on my lemon. I've contacted FEG and they said the kit is easy to convert. As for other accessories, I've had good luck using the South African 17 rd mags I bought from CDNN. The 15 round mags would probably not stick out as much and better for Conceal Carry. I also would highly recommend IWB HP holster from Milt Sparks, it's well made, secure, and comfortable to wear. MSW |

Thanks for the reply, it came with 1 `3rnd piece of mud and am using a browning 10 rnd mag. I ordered 2 mec-gar 15 rnd mags, I have been using 15 rnds with my BHP mk III. As usual I acted in haste, replaced the recoil spring (18.5 lb), a 28lb hammer spring. Now I am having a problem with ftf, hammer following and slide lock on second to last rnd. These problems were erratic. Back to the drawing board, if I didn't screw things up I would die of boredom. Hints will be appreciated.

Had it back at the range yesterday and made a two changes. The buffer was getting pretty beat up after only 200 rnds, so I took it out. Rebent the sear spring so as to put more pressure on sear. Waalaaa! No more ftf's, no more hammer following. 200 more rounds, perfect. I'll probably reinstall the buffer and see how that goes next time on the rangeand see how it goes. |

I have an FEG p9r,had it for years, ultimit in reliability, will even feed and shoot .380 from the mag,but won't cycle slide,do it by hand and you can shoot them all day, could not ask for a better pistol. I have just gotten a used FEG pjk-9hp and am looking forward to shooting it,hope it will be as reliable as my p9r,at least with 9mm,will let you know.

| No Longer FEG-less
Had a FEG PJK-9HP for a couple of years and then traded it away. The buddy I traded it to had all sorts of issues with it when he did his CHL training. Two to three FTEs every mag. So today, I bought it back. Put about 100 rounds through it this morning without any issue at all. I really think he was limp-wristing it. So did he once he watched me put three 17- rounds mag fulls downrange in under 45 seconds and not one FTE. Nice to have it back. Update: BTW, CDNN is selling FN HiPowers for $399 if you can't find a FEG PJH-9HP. -- Mike

I have two of the FEGs. I customized both of them with Cylinder & Slide parts. I used one in the state IDPA Championship, ESP Expert, finished second. Actually the guy that beat me was from out of state. One of the things that needs to be done is tighten the slide-to-frame fit. You have to be extremely careful when tightening the fit as the FEGs are mainly surface hardened and you can crack the rails on the slides. I didn't have any problems, but took my time on each of them. dave |

On closer inspection there is ALSO a radius crack. Darn, sending it back to KBI to see if they can do anything with the problem and NO, I was not shooting any + P, or +P+ ammo. It is/was such a good shooter.
