FEG P9R or P9RK

Hi,
It's the first time I post here. I registered in this forum because it's the only one with a Feg section!
I have the opportunity to buy a used Feg P9R or a new P9RK: they aren't expensive at all. But I'd like to know more of these guns. Are they reliable, accurate,…? Are they weapons worth to buy? I read a lot about them, and I still don't know: some say that these are good guns, others that they are just decent… Some speak of a rough trigger… What do you think, what is your own experience with Feg?
For about the same price, I also have the opportunity to buy a SIG P 220, a P 225, a Jericho 921, a HP 35… All the shooters I asked said I'd better buy:
1) a SIG
2) a HP 35
3) a Jericho
but no one had any opinion about the Feg…
As a swiss citizen, I think I'll buy a SIG, but please tell me more about the Fegs.
Thanks for your answers!
Jonas
I also heard of Fegarmy's bankrupt: I asked them, and I got an answer. Fegarmy went bankrupt, but their assets were taken by Feginvest, and the production goes on

If the price is right, this is a good shooter. Accurate and reliable. I bought a well used P9RK and have shot it often with no problems. This gun I believe is a copy of the S & W 59 with some improvements. I also have the ACK45 which is basically the same gun in a 45 caliber, it also shoots pretty well. The trigger is a little rough, but some polishing at the right places helps. The Hungarian Army uses the P9R as their official sidearm.

Thumbs up I have a pistol P9RK !

I bought the gun in Agosto/2005. It is certain that some problems exist with the ammunition " Winchester " but it is not anything significant. When I bought the gun they informed me that it was used but under perfect conditions.I have almost shot 200 rounds and I have not had difficulties. I paid $256.00 and I consider that I made a good purchase. It is a very accurate gun and has a good weight. Now I will begin to carry out tests with ammunition of 124gr to experience the changes that can happen with regard to 119gr of " Winchester ". I have a gun PT92 AZ and it is one it magnifies gun and I also have a " Witness " (Tanfoglio) and it is a good gun but I also continue loving my gun P9RK. -

I wait to have contributed in something with my modest opinion. -

Thanks to all!

Wink Model of FEG

Hello there! I suppose I could be wrong but I believe that the gun that you have there is a FEG PA63. I have one and it is awesome! I shoot IPSC minor with it and it is extremely accurate and sooooo comfortable. It is a 9 x 18 Makarov ammo- I use 94 grain Silver Bear and not a jam yet with about 600 rounds. $135 I paid. I am almost certain but the ammo will give it away. Do you use the 9 x 18 Mak in it? They also have it in a .380 model. Have a great weekend! J

I just bought an FEG Mark II APK 380. It looks similar to yours.

Go to GunsAmerica - The Honor System Gun Classifieds and type in "FEG" at the search field & see what you come up with. You should be able to find a matching model to the picture you have shown here.

It looks to me like a PA-63 though.

Here is a sale I found showing it: FEG PA63

I haven't yet received my APK, but I am looking very forward to getting it.

~Hope that helps.

My big first post

Hey there, it's my first post on this site, and I have a huge question....I just got a vary mint, rarely used P9RK, and I was wondering if there is a company out there that has grips for this gun. I tried Pachmayer, and they don't have any, and I was looking for some rubberized grips for my new pistol. The wood grips look good, but I was looking for a black grip. Any help would be appreciated.

Happy Shooting!!

You could always get a wood grip & stain it black with some nice wood stainer.

A PA-63 in excellent condition is worth about $150 tops.
It's a crude copy of a walther but works very well indeed! Don't expect the action smoothness or finish quality to be the same as the more expensive Walther.

The PA63 is a copy of a Walther PP only the PP is 32caliber and the PA63 is 9x18. The FEG is much, much more powerful and with a little work can become a very nice pistol indeed. I really like mine. All metal except the grips which is uncommon now-a-days. I don't have anything else like it. The PA63 isn't just another outdated old Euro semiauto. It has character. If you're tired of plastic guns here is a change of pace. Get'em while they're hot!

Don't you just love when someone asked a question about a specific make/model that everyone will start hawking their special items. What does the FEG Hi-Power clone or the PA-63 have to do with a thread about the P9R/P9RK?

I guess I did. I was talking about the GRP9. Which is the PA63. Nevermind.
