| New Here, Can you help with pistol? Hello I am new to this board. Found it accidentially while looking for information on an old pistol I inherited from my mom. She acquired it from an army officer just back in the states after being stationed in Europe. This was around 1968 to 1970 or so. Just looking at it from distance it looks to me like a Walther semi auto. It's not, Says its a FEG. Black in color. 7.65mm. Clip holds 8 rounds. Have pics but don't see how to post them so here is a description. I would really appreciate any help in finding out whatever there is to know about this gun. On left side of weapon: On slide in all caps: HEGE WEST GERMANY (second row) cal 7.65 mm/.32/Browning On stock just rear of trigger guard: FEG BB14596 (I assume the FEG is the mfg and the number under it is the serial #) On the right side of weapon: On barrel as viewed through ejection port: 68 followed by a wavy line I don't recognize then another strange symbol On stock just behind the trigger guard: 2 interesting designs followed by 67 (the 67 is encircled) On holster Made in Germany Made in Germany 74 47 I find it interesting that the holster makes no reference to being made in "West" Germany. I also find it interesting that a reference to West Germany is made on the barrel as FEG is made in Hungary?? Weapon appears to have seen little usage. Shoots quite accurately for small bore, 4 inch barrel. Will eject spent shells well for a few hundred rounds, then starts jamming until cleaned etc. Can anyone give me a key to understanding any of this. Not interested in selling as it belonged to my parents. Still am interested in knowing anything regarding age, year of mfg, monitary value, history, etc. Is there a website I can find any of this info on?? Thanks, Tom |
