| New FEG-The Start of a Beautiful Friendship We went to the East Peoria Gun Show last weekend and my husband found a FEG-AP calibered in .32 ACP for me. The price was 115 dollars with one magazine but the owner sold it to me for 108 + tax and just because I'm too cute to resist It was a deal I couldn't refuse. My wrists aren't getting any better and a ganglion cyst that I had surgically removed from my right wrist along with tendon resection has returned. Time to downsize the calibers so I can keep shooting. I brought the weapon home yesterday and shot it for the first time today. I Love It. Low recoil and accurate. I was hitting a paper plate sized target at 40 feet without difficulty. And no wrist discomfort or difficulty controlling it. It broke down easily for cleaning and has great rifling. It looks like the start of a beautiful friendship! I have a new set of sandalwood hand grips coming soon thanks to Ouch! ![]()

| ![]() Here is my new member of the family. I like this weapon so much that I'm thinking of getting a Walther in .380. Opinions?

| OOOOH...pretty gun! I am new to handguns and my very first (and only) gun is the FEG R61 .380. Its compact (so its easy to carry concealed); most importantly, it has very little recoil and sits well in my smaller hands. Vey easy to control! My husband wants me to retire it and go on to other .380 or 9mm's out there.....I'm sure other guns would be just as grand, but you know, I just don't want to use anything else! Now, if I can just get any information about this gun (I don't think its a common gun anymore)-I'll really be lovin' it!! I don't know how to download pics here (sorry), but I found a lovely picture of the R61 at Collectible Firearms and Edged Weapons You have to go in "modern" pistols, then "hungarian" to see it. Have fun with your FEG |

| Thanks MrsS for the link. I really like my FEG. What I like even better is that we just got our C & R license and now we can add to our family. I'd really like to get another .32 or even a 380 in some shape or form. I have small hands also and like the control I have with the smaller caliber guns. I seldom shoot anything higher than a .9 mm for that reason and because of the lousy shape my wrists are in. Hey, if you find a caliber and model you are really happy with. Stick with it. There is an old saying that goes, a person who shoots just one gun, really well, is more of a threat than one person who shoots a lot of guns. Think about it.
