| Recoil in PA-63
Just returned from shooting my new PA-63 for the second day. Today I went to a WMA range. It is free and with the exception of having to shoot thru tubes is not a bad range. I changed out the hammer spring myself earlier from 9# to 11# because I was having a few failure to go boom. Problem solved. I also changed out the recoil spring from 15# to 13# prior to todays shooting. A big mistake! The recoil was noticeably more with the 13# than the 15#! I switched back to the 15#. I'm really glad I bought the spring paks of different weights instead of just one weight. I have a Beretta 9000s in 40s&w. The recoil in it is felt less than the 63. I'm really liking the 63 and carrying it more than the 9000s. My next purchase is going to be some luminescent adhesives from "Nitesiters" and some grips. I like Marschals grips and there are some listed on Gunbroker from Thailand for around 30.00$ plus shipping, anyone bought any grips and would recomend? |

My experience with the recoil springs was the same as yours; 13# not good enough, but 15# was just right. I'm glad you mentioned Nitesiters. I tried some sight paint, but it does not hold up very well on the front sight. IMO, the PA-63 needs something and Nitesigters just might be what I need. I'll try it (them?). |
