Gun-free zones get people killed

Here we go again. Someone tell me why, with nearly 3,000 articles written worldwide within 48 hours following the tragic slaughter at the Omaha, Neb. Westroads Mall last week, not a single article mentioned the most important fact of all -- that there were "no guns allowed" in the mall?

Cool

A gun free zone is truely a killing zone.
It takes a very long time for the truth to be realized by many, some never see it even when it right before their eyes.
Then,of course, there are the deniers who have their beliefs and agendas.

Rave, so what are we to do? consider that i live in canada. do i just say F it and carry anyway and make myself into a criminal? maybe i get caught and have my rights to own firearms taken away. it seems that every other week there is some kind of shooting in winnipeg. (manitoba's main city) i totally agree with your every comment. unfortunately in canada you are bound by law to be a sheep until your led to slaughter by the crimianals. what a time we live in.

I live in Florida,I have a ccw. Before we got them the media was screaming how the streets would run red with blood, the usual hysteria.
Of course,as in other states that became shall issue crime plummited.
The beast that was killing tourists made sure they got off planes after that so they would be unarmed.
If you feel that you and you're countrymen are sheep being led to the slaughter I suggest you move to the USA and a shall issue state until conditions change back at you're original home.
In the mean time, best of luck to you and you'res.

Unfortunately it seems like we have our hands tied. The laws are meant to protect those working for them, not us law abiding citizens who want to be safe. I'm sick of the government supporting criminal behavior and exploiting law abiding citizens. (Sending the Pasadena, TX man to jail for shooting CRIMINALS) What are we paying them for? To respond slowly when we direly need their help? To usurp power from the hands of tax payers and fall short of their end of the bargain to protect us? Seems like they're more concerned with keeping their pockets fat while doing minimal work. I'm not gonna sit around and allow somebody to come after me or those around me. I'm sorry, but bad guys don't wait for cops and neither will I.

Unfortunately, gun-free zones will probably continue to exist until victims or families of victims begin to sue because those establishing these zones did not protect their students, customers, ect. from death or bodily harm after denying them the right to protect themselves. As more and more large settlements are handed down by the courts in favor of the victims, then you will see gun-free zones abolished.

Why is it the last driving test I took was in the 1960's and cars kill more people than most other things put together. But I have to fill out 4 PAGES of forms every year for my permit to acquire handguns? Then I have to fill out the Fed form. then I have to wait for them to call the feds to ok the sale? ps. when I fill out the four page deal for the state I have to wait a week for them to get it to me.
