| Gun Show Measure Falters in Va. House A Virginia House committee on Friday defeated an effort to close a major loophole in the state's gun laws, angering families of victims of the Virginia Tech massacre and Gov. Timothy M. Kaine (D), who had pushed hard for the law. | Resident Armed Liberal ![]() | Of course, gun shows didnt have a (bleep)ing thing to do with the Virginia Tech Massacre. But that doesn't stop them from using it as an excuse anyway, does it? I remember when I could buy a rifles or shotgun at any two-bit flea market in California, and carry it home. Now that the state requires the waiting period even for guns bought at a gun show, I haven't seen crime go down any...
