Bills take different approaches to issue of guns on campus

Two state lawmakers have offered dramatically different bills dealing with guns on college campuses and the measures touched off spirited debate Thursday at a Senate committee hearing in Olympia.

I live in washington and this state is about as liberal as they get. i'm truelly suprised that a bill like this would ever see the light of day. iv'e met sen pam roach and she seems to be more interested in whats right than what politically correct. just remember it's hard to shoot 32 people if their all shooting back.

I may have to agree that in todays society the average college student may not be suited to carry a firearm, how ever I have a though time believing there isn't a few around campus who would do very well with that responcibilty,ex service people?,got to be a least one countryboy/girl on campus??
