Under fire, Obama clarifies small-town remarks

Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama tried to quell a political furor on Saturday over his comments about small-town Pennsylvanians, saying he used the wrong words to describe their mood.

I've never voted for a democrat in my life but I have to agree to a certain percent with what he said. We as Americans feel let down by our government, just look at the polls. As to clinging to our guns, immigration feelings, religion, etc. on that he's full of s**t. Are we bitter, I don't think so, we're just p***ed off that we send idiots to Washington that don't really represent us. I just can't believe we keep sending the same jerks back time after time.

Obama is a moron. He was caught, plain and simple... articulating exactly what he felt. Seems some politicians operate on feelings alone instead of the facts... and I'm pretty most on here would agree on that.

Yeah... I'm pi*sed off that jobs are leaving this country... and it is the job of the politicians to get them back and/or create new jobs.

The Congress is all over the place attacking the President on his ratings... when sadly, their own are even worse. When will the Govt. realize that they are half a step away from all losing their jobs when the people "take" it back? We are at a pivotal point now...

Enough
of the infighting, enough of the witch hunts... do the business of the people, not just of the party. We're watching you...

I've said this before and I'll keep saying it... maybe the Senate and Congressional members need to revisit the quotes of George Washington:

"A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government." George Washington

Friends... who is being abused here? Hint: It certainly isn't them.

It's called a siege mentality. Small towns feel that they are under attack. Wal_Mart moves in and destroys their town square. Illegals sneaking into the country, crime in the big cities spreading their way. Small town America is slowly disappearing and they do feel threatened.
We say m'am, go to church, hunt, fish, can our foods, help our neighbors, and the list goes on 'cause,"A countryboy can survive!"

Interesting choice of word

Is it "clarify" or should it be "desperately backtracks"?

Calling every rural person in a state essentially some level of retard unable to generate rational emotional responses seems a little beyond what can
be clarified.

Hillary has Bill and his stange millions to sink her ship and Obama has his own mouth to create a vortex.

Now, if the Republican National Committee can just get McCain's lips
sutured shut until the morning of November 3rd !!!!

It was the typical "elitist" attitude and feelings about "the common man" on display, a Freudian Slip, if you will...

Go to a small town and have coffee with some of these people and see what he's talking about. If you're from the outside you can see. If you're from a small town you're attitude is so much different than someone from the larger cities. That's just life.
