Zen900 replies: Any of y'all have a 10 pound handgun? I have semiautos that weigh less than 10 ozs.
My three WWI-era m91 Mosin Nagants are 51-1/2" long (almost four feet, four inches, for those bad at arithmetic); the barrels alone are 31-1/2". And even they only weigh about 9-1/2 lbs each...

They spotted a large cat up in a county north of us. It was in a neighborhood surrounding a creek. That is reason enough to carry. Much less a bear. Or zombies.
