| Seattle Mayor Trying To Ban Guns A week ago a person with a permit was carrying in a park and was attacked. The gun dislodged and went off. The attacker was shot through the leg and the attacker's girlfriend was hit by the same bullet in the hand. As a result of this the mayor of Seattle is trying to ban all guns on Seattle property. Well streets here and roads and yards are Seattle property so it appears he is trying to make Seattle a no gun city. Still trying to form a ccw group here and now it is needed more than ever. If you read this and are from here drop me a line. If not then get the word out that this nut needs to be stopped. We need to protect our rights now and forever. ![]() |

The right of the individual citizen to bear arms in defense of himself, or the state, shall not be impaired, but nothing in this section shall be construed as authorizing individuals or corporations to organize, maintain or employ an armed body of men. Sounds like the Mayor is a Nutter wannabee... |

| Gee, maybe had the CRIMINAL and HIS CRIMINAL GIRLFRIEND NOT ATTACKED OR ASSAULTED HIM, THE GUN WOULDN'T HAVE DISLODGED AND GONE OFF THUS STRIKING THE CRIMINAL IN HIS LEG AND ALSO NOT HIT HIS CRIMINAL GIRLFRIEND IN THE HAND. WHO'D OF THOUGHT IT WOULD BE THAT FLIPPING SIMPLE? ONLY A MORON WOULD MISS THE OBVIOUS!!!

| Actually, anything he does is non-applicable to us general citizens. He's looking at doing an "Executive Order", which would affect city employees. Anyways, we have RCW 9.41.290 State Preemption, which states that any laws that are more restrictive than or have harsher penalties than state law in regards to firearms are considered preempted and REPEALED. So, if Mayor Chuckles tries to pull some crap to ban carry of civilians in Seattle, he'll be charged with US Code Title 18, Section 242 Deprivation of Rights Under Color of Law and could face both fines and jail time in a federal prison. I'm not too worried.

| Senior Member | I ran into this on another site and the story there reads a bit different. According to that person, the gun owner is the one with the criminal background and has a history of mental problems. Was this incident at the Northwest Folklife Festival and the gun owner's name is Grainger? Last edited by DWFan; 06-09-2008 at 08:52 AM. |
