"Buy A Gun" Week...

I saw this on Fulton Armory's website, thought it was worth passing on...

www.buyagunweek.com

Anybody know anything about this "Veterans Disarmament Act"?

Be sure to watch the video in the upper left hand corner...

Sidebar: Is that Penn from Penn and Teller doing the narrating in the video? Just curious! LOL!

Wish I could afford to buy a gun a week. I posted a thread about the Veteran Disarmament Act because I was astonished at the BALLS some in our Government have to do this with NO RECORDED VOTE! While Congress were on X-mas break this past year.

I never knew it, but, the Brady Bill was passed in similar fashion. How can that, and this NOT be unconstitutional? How can something pass with out a properly recorded vote? How can something pass without each state and person being represented to the fullest?

"The Veteran's Disarmament Act"? Please....

The only HR2640 I'm aware of is the one from last year about changes to the NICS; the one the NRA supported and the GOA got hysterical about.

Calling it a disarmament act is total BS. It doesn't take any more guns away from veterans than existing law did. Instead, it provides an appeal procedure for those vets (and others) who were unfairly labeled mentally unsound and denied their rights. It isn't perfect, but it's a hell of an improvement over what we had before.

The GOA's argument was basically that if you went through the appeals process and were denied, you'd be screwed. Well, guess what? If there's no appeals process to begin with, you're totally screwed. And the GOA was willing to leave all those veterans already denied the right to own guns, and all those who might be denied in the future, with no recourse whatsoever just so they could make political points.

Why are you always so ready with REALITY Troy?? Don't you realize misinformation and irrational accusations are what keeps this country running so smoothly?
