| Another Workplace Shooting This time it took place in Kentucky. An employee on the night shift at Atlantis Plastics in Henderson, Kentucky in the wee hours of the morning on Wednesday had a disagreement with his supervisor and they argued. Apparently the shooter did not like the resolution of the disagreement He went on his meal break, drove home and came back with a pistol. He asked the supervisor to step outside for a minute, shot and killed him, and then walked back into the factory. He walked through the plant shooting people at random. He killed three employees and wounded two others before he blew his brains out. The wounded arre being treated at a hospital in Evansville, KY. Names of the shooter and those he killed and wounded have not been released by the Henderson Police Department, presumably pending notification of next of kin. The police will be holding a press conference at 3 PM today, at which time one assumes more information will be made available. Workplace shootings are never good. However, I can just see now what the antigunners are going to do with this one, especially when the Supreme Court announces its decision on DC vs Heller. They will exploit this for their own evil purposes as a "tragic example" of the results of private gun ownership. Just wait and see. |

| ... Maybe the media needs to turn their attention towards the ILLEGAL drug trade ENTERING OUR NATION FROM MEXICO...? ... Maybe the media needs to turn their attention towards METH LABS...? ... Maybe the media needs to turn their attention towards DRUNK DRIVERS...? ... Maybe the media needs to turn their attention towards CROOKED CEO/CFO's...? ... Maybe the media needs to turn their attention towards DEADBEAT PARENTS...? ... oh wait... all violence is perpetrated by guns, not criminals, right? ... WTF, over ? Maybe the media (doubtful, at best) can actually provide true events of home owners defending their family from weapon-wielding intruders? How different would the following even have been had there been a firearm in the home for self defense? FOXNews.com - Parolees Arraigned in Deadly Connecticut Home Invasion - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News Tragic examples like this would not be as prevalent if the homeowner had means of self defense not only for themselves, but their family. Last I knew, the "Castle Doctrine" is not law in Connecticut. |

| Senior Member | I worked at the Postal Service for 14 years. The term "disgruntled postal employee" was very real. The Unions and Mgmt. fanned the flames to produce some of the truly most evil people I have ever met in my life. I was there during Y2K and believe me if half of the predictions about Y2K had been true...within hours most postal employees would have been raping and pillaging. Postal employees truly scare me. I don't even talk to my mailman...best not too. ![]()
