Anti-gun FBI Director Criticizes Supreme Court Ruling that Americans have the right t

FBI Director Robert Mueller on Monday criticized the U.S. Supreme Court's recent ruling that Americans have a right to own guns for self-defense and hunting, saying it may harm efforts to deter violent crime.
Of course, real police know that law-abiding citizens who own and use firearms for self-defense and hunting are not the problem and that the solution to violent crime in America is locking up criminals.

It looks to me this feller needs to be replaced ~! The Supreme Court ruled the ovious which is we do have a right to own and bear arms.
This tells me that the powers that be don't give a chit about the Constitution.
And because of what he said he should be Fired !!!

I read the article and I'm confused.

I'm not following the dirctors line of thinking. He uses his grand daughter in college as an example...that she would be safer from terrorists in a gun free school... ? So if Haji is going to school in the midwest (see article) and he belongs to a sleeper cell, somehow he will follow campus rules and keep his guns off campus.

That is what he's saying correct?

... he's getting near the end of his career and choosing sides for political affiliation. Personally, I've thought of and still think he is a moron.

Last I checked... criminals do not follow the law... only the law abiding do.

Maybe write Director Robert Mueller a letter, including that little tidbit and ask him? I'm sure your name will soon be ran for any and everything, but you might get an answer. I'm, going to guess and yes, ASSume, it, his response if you even get one, won't make any more sense then the previous.

I agree, he needs to be replaced. I think what all these people are scared of is no longer having job security. Once people realize they can protect themselves, and do, job security will be reduced.

I can't believe that all these people could care less about the Constitution. I can't believe these people look to these same courts and judges to uphold the laws that make their jobs easier yet they don't respect them enough to make the right call when it comes to us, citizens, individuals, AMERICANS!!!

I heard his interview this morning, and was surprised to hear him state that a pistol carried legally for self-defense is more often taken away and used on the person carrying it. That is a complete Brady-style myth and there are NO confirmed (spelled non-Brady bunch) statistics that would back his statement up.

Of course, he's been allowed to carry his entire career, and is surrounded by heavily armed staff. Daly, Shumer, Feinstein and other elitists are also afforded armed security near them around the clock. Shame on us hard-working regular citizens (subjects?) who feel our lives are just as important as theirs.

did dumba** forget he works to uphold the law. that means everyone of them, including the one he does not like. sounds like a new cabinet post will open up for him when and if obama wins. let's hope not.

The FBI generally has been inept since the late eighties and early nineties. Remember ruby ridge. This is nothing new.

I've worked cases with, God protect me, FBI Agents a couple of times. Farther than 3 feet from a desk they get disoreinted. They are without a doubt the worst street cops, if they can be considered as such, I have ever been around. Their administrators tend to encourage this too. I actually worked with an Agent who didn't carry a gun. He said that there was one in the van he could go get if he needed it!!!!!!!

Gee, maybe the FBI,CIA,NCIS, Police and anyone else that carries may as well stop? I mean seeing as how they'll just get taken away from them and get used on them.

What, we can't take or get training? Give me a break.

What, we're going to wait until the threat is right up on us before we defend ourselves? Give me a break.

Yep, Meister! No need to carry... they've got all the bad guys in jail and 911 will rush to your aid if needed. Toss that Glock.
