South Carolina: Georgetown School Board talks about guns

The Georgetown County School Board will have major issues to consider when it meets next including the district's concealed weapons ban.The school district has attracted state's Attorney General Henry McMaster's attention regarding its ban of concealed weapons on all school property, which is more stringent than state law.McMaster released an opinion in December that the district's policy supersedes state law, which allows a concealed permit holder to have guns in a car while dropping off kids at school, or in a locked compartment in their vehicle in a school parking lot.
