Question Pflueger reel ???

Hey guys. I'm thinking about getting a Pflueger President, but im also considering a Trion. If you have one of these or have used one could you please tell me how it is? Is it worth the money? And tryo to compare the 2 if you can. Thanks

Pflueger is not only a good reel but I have a

model 4740 on order from Bass Pro Shops at this moment.
I have found the Trion GX-7 to be a very smooth
in operation. I fresh water fish so cannot comment on salt
water environment capabilities.

My first flyreel is/was a Pflueger. It was some of the best money I ever spent. I don't recall the model number. I still have that reel and it is one of my all time favorites. I do not have any experience with any other style Pflueger reel.

The President is a very good reel. I use Pflueger exclusively for my freshwater fishing. Saltwater, I use a variety of brands. Shimano, Diawa, Penn....

Like AKHunter my first two flyreals were Pflueger. My oldest son now uses them. I bought them in 1986.

I would strongly recommend the Pflueger President from having used one for a number of years. Can't comment on the other one as I have never used it.

Well I put Bass Pro Excel 10# on it and it casts pretty good. I just casted it in the yard. This thing casts very good. I'll give y'all another report when I take it fishing. Thanks
