I recently purchased a HB FAL on an Imbel receiver. I tried to mount a bi-pod on it and had some difficulty. The end of the barrel is not threaded. It has a keyed slot on the top of the barrel about 1 inch back from the muzzle. I bought the bi-pod assembly from numrich arms, and a fake flash hider because I live in communist NY, and the cammed lever that goes into the slot on the bi-pod assembly. My question is, how do I mount the bi-pod on my rifle. Is there something I'm missing. It looks like there are threads inside the bi-pod assembly, but the end of my barrel is not threaded. Is there a way to do this, or am I wasting my time. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I would post pictures, but appearantly I don't have priveledges to post attachments. Thanks.
