| Senior Member | Fal Range Report Here We go Range report and first to last impressions. The Rifle DS Arms Para Tactical, 16.25 in. Barrell , 3.7 lb trigger job, Shortened Gas System, Short Military Grade Handguard, Folding PARA Stock,Front and back tritium nite sites,Extreme duty scope mount, Lightweight aluminum reciever . I mean anything i could upgrade i did this my friends and fellow gun and gamers is my baby . My first impression when i opened the hard case was almost shock at how nice and clean this rifle came to me DS arms did a great job , it was worth the 18 week wait. So i pull the Fal out check the insides a little and off to the range I go. I wont bore you with the barrell break in because we all know how tedious that part is, but after those 2 hours here comes the fun . I site in my Eo Tech holo site and my EoTech 3x magnifier and start with one round of south african surplus 308 it slings the shell so i adjust the gas system a little less open it still slings the shell so i close the gas off 2 more clicks and its perfect just enough gas to throw the bullet and chamber the next < This is one of the nice things about fals you control the gas so it uses the least amount possable so you feel less recoil and it makes your gun last longer, unlike an ar-15, or aks or pretty much any other gas ported Military Rifle witch you have no control over how much gas you use > So i get sited in , start throwing 3 shots down range <100yds> as fast as possable first with Just the eotech holo site, then fliping the 3x magnifier into place and fireing 3 rounds D*mn i love that magnifier with it 2 inches fireing triple taps and double taps at a time. The felt recoil is I would say not as hard as an ak-47 but not as light as an Ar-15 chamberd in 5.56 . Maybe a third more felt recoil then the 5.56 , now this is my opinion so take it for what its worth . Im going to post range pics soon but heres pics of the new fal . I would look into getting one of these Fals before the libs get into office, you may never have the chance agian. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

| A buddy left one with me while he was out of the country, it was a good rifle. I shot it quite a bit. It was made by Steyer, had a match barrel and trigger work and a A.R.T. scope. I had it 5 or 6 years.

| I love shooting my FAL, looking for a good deal on 7.62 nato right now. The lack of recoil is amazing. You have a nice looking Fal knightrider, have you scoped it yet? I want another one, thinking about a DSA. Let me know how you like yours. knightrider, I reread your post and you answered all my questions, I need too pay attention... Your range report is a good read. Last edited by Kodiak32; 01-11-2008 at 09:34 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

| Senior Member | Knightrider, Pickup a parts kit for $50. It needed barrel, gas chamber and piston. PUt in Argentine barrel and other parts. With scope and hand loads, shoots 3/4" groups. Took two deer and one hog with it so far. It needs a trigger job. Bad! Hey there's and HK in the background!
